What does a fibrous plasterer do?

Fibrous plasterers finish the walls and ceilings inside (and sometimes on the exterior of) residential and commercial buildings, with both functional and ornamental applications of plaster.

The daily tasks of a fibrous plasterer include:

  • Applying and repairing plasterboard partitions
  • Installing suspended ceilings, fire rating systems, acoustic tiles and composite wall linings

A project's finish may involve decorative and protective coverings of plaster, cement and similar materials.
