What does a plumber do?

A plumber's job role includes the installation, maintenance and repair of:

  • Pipes, drains, guttering and metal roofs
  • Mechanical services
  • Equipment used for supply of water, gas, sewerage, heating, cooling and ventilation systems

A plumber will plan and install these complex systems which allow a home or building to operate efficiently, quietly and safely.
